Hello. I'm a senior copywriter and creative director with ad agency experience. My expertise is breathing life into concepts for print and online ads, direct email, banners, and web copy.
Recently I developed branding, site copy and an ad campaign, "Fair Play" that promotes file-sharing for an online civil liberties organization, the Electronic Frontier Foundation. These full- and half-page print ads are now running in Rolling Stone, Blender, Spin and PC Gamer magazines.
Starting July 9, 2003 I began working at LookSmart in San Francisco as a Marketing Communication Specialist. I'm developing print and online advertising campaigns, white papers and branding units.
As a senior copywriter with Clear Ink Agency I developed branding for Asera, an enterprise software firm that needed corporate brochures, white papers, a CD ROM and site copy. A salesforce.com campaign included banner ads, tower ads, and direct email. I also worked on projects for Aspect, Commerce One, Niku, Oral B, and The East Bay Business Times.
Quokka.com, an online sports site provided the opportunity to write innovative ads for Fortune 500 sponsors including adidas, Intel, Compaq and Computer Associates. I promoted Intels P-3 chips and broadband services with extreme sports themes in Flash, and the high-octane sidebar ads I wrote generated impressive click-through rates. One of the most challenging projects at Quokka was developing an interactive tour of the 2000 Sydney Olympics for General Electric The Power Behind the Venues. I interviewed technicians behind the scenes to provide specifications and human interest stories about the challenges of delivering backup power for the Games. A fun project for adidas involved writing coverage about sports gear at the adidas Tech Launch 2000 held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
At esubscriber.com I wrote about consumer electronic products home entertainment, digital and satellite TV, cell phones, and PDAs.
While working for MarchFirst Agency I wrote articles for "Imagine," a tabloid about Apple Computer OS X servers, iMovie and Final Cut Pro.
As a writer and designer at Whole Foods Market I developed point of sale, signage, banners and print ads for packaged goods.
In addition to print and online advertising, I write radio spots and jingles. I'm a singer, composer and voice talent with training from VoiceTrax with Samantha Paris in Sausalito, California. I completed a two-year internship at KFOG radio station in San Francisco with production director Jeff Schmidt, and completed courses in Marketing Copywriting at San Francisco State University.
I also own a legal graphic design firm, Litigation Arts www.litigationarts.com. Under stringent deadline pressure, I managed four full-time designers to produce demonstrative evidence for courtroom display technical and financial charts, graphs, scale diagrams, animations and videos. I continue to work for legal clients producing courtroom exhibits, ads and web sites.
One of my personal goals is to produce a musical called "Coasting". I've written the songs and a story treatment set in San Francisco at the turn of the century.
Thank you for reading, I hope to hear from you soon.
